Steurplanung /Taxplaning passat 1974 with 1983 1.6TD

Ich habe dies in USA gefragt

:My Passat combi 1983 was run on - kaputt.
My motor 1.6 TD just 19000 km is ok so is the driveline and gearbox.

I have a friend who wants to sell me a very good 1974 passat half combi.
Just $150 !!!! Allmost no rust!
Was registred first 19740124 Chass.nb 3242103459 Motor ZB abnormal gas.
Just 14000 on the tachometer! (old mans car!) -

My question is:
Can I put in my 1983 diesel 1.6TD into the enginbay?
What else is needed (gearbox driveline etc from the 1983-one)
New motorsupports?

If it works easy with new paint and other cheap options - it will be a killer I think.

AND - no taxes here in Sweden - and as you know the 1.6TD is not a drinker!

Meine Passat Variant 1983 ist von ein Mercedes kaput gemacht!
Motor 1.6 TD nur 19000 km ist ok! So ist getriebe und achseln etc.

Mein Freund woll mir ein Passat halb-combi verkaufen - nur 14000 km, bensinmotor, keine rust (stain?) und für €150.
War 19740424 registriert und ch.nummer: 3242103459 Motor ZB normal benzin. Typ 32! (Alte man hab es gehabt!)
Meine frage ist:
Kann ich meinem 1983 1.6TD Dieselmoter (3Y) drin übertragen (benutzen).
Was mehr - getriebe, achseln, motorauflagerungen etc.

Ist es möglich - d.H. einfach ohne neubauen von trägern etc?

Bevor 1983 kein Autosteuer in Schweden und den motor 1983 1.6 TD ist kein trinker.
Unter 5 l/100 km - d.H. mein frau kann besser!!!

Danach etwas options und ein neue Lack - "eine billige VW-Strassentöter".

KLE (the guy who writes the blog and build the cars) has done a conversion, a 1.6 TD from 32B Passat in a 32 Passat from 1977. I can imagine that many parts from the front-axle are the same or compatible, but i don't know so much about the Passat MK1. You have to change some electrics, as the pre-glow relay and stuff like this. Also you have find a solution for the water-cooler, i think the space is a bit narrow.
But as you have your old car to spend the parts you should be able to do it.

The only thing i can imagine is, that some people will not like the idea of "destroying" an old and original car. But not me, i really like the idea - do it

Lot of people have been there before!

Just put in the engine and tranny! Use new motorrubber if you like...

Use the old radiator, should be fine maybe you have to play a bit with waterhoses to get them to fit.
Make a relais for the glow plugs. Make a wire to the pump (12V+ from old ignition)

Empty the tank, with a bike-pump or something... Put diesel in and you are ready to go!
