32b TDI

Hi

I am thinking of putting a TDI (110pk) in my coupe. It is now a normal TD. (ideal plan is to take a Passat TDI engine)

What will the problems be that I am about to find? Some questions I have.

*The 2N gearbox will fit, and will be the best for TDI?
*Are the motorbrackets ready to bolt onto a TDI?
*Will I have to make my own exhaust downpipe? Or can you take the one from the TDI?
*Is it very hard to fix the wiring onto the existing electrics in the car?
*Do you need a fuel pump? or is it good the way it is?


Any answers are welcome, maybe somebody did it before? (pictures??)

Why the 110PS "AFN"?
The 1Z ist a little bit easyer to install.
Your Gearbox will be not so fast out of order, and the Motorbrackets dont fit at the AFN. The Turbo is on a other Place then the 1Z /AHU.
It`s better when you take the Engine from a Audi 80 Typ 89.
It is then much easyer to install.
You must take the Motorbrackets from the Audi becouse the Engine is deeper as the TD Engine. (Der Motor ist höher als der TD, somit geht die Haube dann nicht mehr zu).
Then you must take the Downpipe from the Audi and then the TD Exhaust.
When you will have a Servolenkung you should take the Lenkgetriebe from the Audi too.

When you will know more please tell it us.

okay, so better the 90pk version (1z)?

Is it easy to put some more pony's in a 1z engine? I have an intercooler from an audi 80 80pk 1.6 TD engine.


If the engine is to be placed lower, how about the subframe? will the audi frame fit?
You think the steering from typ89 will fit a 32b? then I can best buy a complete car or not?

Will be looking around for audi typ89 TDI!

If anyone had more to tell me, or has done it before, let me know!

Hi, yes the 90Pk version is better and more Ponys are very easy to do with chiptuning. The 90 Pk Machine has a longer existence than the 110Pk Version too.
Your Intercooler fits good on this Machine.
A complete Car is the best you can do.
You must have from other Car the Brake- (2 pieces) and the Clutchpoti on the Pedals and you need a Speedsensor (V-Signal) in the Tacho from http://www.t3-umbau.de or look like "Speedpulse".
The Steering from the Audi fits without Problems on the 32b.
You don`t need a additional Fuel Pump, the own from the Engine is ok.

Why the speed sensor? If I use a 32b 2N gearbox, I will keep the same speedo and cable etc... Or am I missing something?
Same for clutch and brake pedals...? just keep it the way it is? It brakes very nice now.

Hi, you need these Sensors for the ECU. It`s for the fuel cut-off. Without these Signals runs the Engine very bad.
The Engine is electronically controlled.
In addition, you also need the electronic throttle.
I can make Pictures on Weekend, then you can see what i mean.

If you can also try to make a picture of how the engine is mounted on the subframe, please. You say the engine must be lowered, but will the gearbox fit in its place like it should? a picture would be perfect!

What model should I look for? every car between 91 and 95 (1z was delivered in there years?)
And audi A4/A6 TDI? are these the same, or should I only look for the 80?

In Holland I can find them for about 1000euro, with around 300k... Is it better to look in germany?

Hello, look better in Germany.
I don`t know if the Motorbrackets are the same at Audi 100 and Co.
You can with some Luck find a "Abwrackprämie" Car.
