In this picture you see the audi80 engine mount, there is no such mount in an original 32b, guess it must be welded in to fit the TDI engine.
Below you see the original unused mounting place on the subframe.
I still have some JN engines so I can take the original mounts and try to fit the engine on its original mountings on the subframe.
When the engine gets in the way for the hood, I can lower the mountings or higher the hood
